3.    Higher Voltage Output: While even two NiMH cells can only produce 2.4v, a single cell can deliver 3.7v.

4.    Faster Recharge: Depending on capacity, Li-ions can be charged in one to three hours. Compared to the 10–12 hours required for NiMH batteries, this is much faster.

5.    Temperature Tolerant: Compared to NiMH cells, these can withstand colder climates and warmer conditions better.

6.    High Energy Density: A battery with a higher energy density can store more energy per gram than a NiMH battery.

1.    Lower Capacity: Compared to the 2200 mAH average of NiMH cells, these have an average capacity of 1500 mAh.

2.    Do not come in uniform sizes - Li-ion batteries are incompatible because they come in a variety of sizes and shapes from various manufacturers and can only be used with a certain range of gadgets. NiMHs come in uniform sizes.

3.    Does not get fully discharged - A Li-ion battery cannot be fully discharged because doing so will cause damage. You can shock charge it, but doing so will reduce its effectiveness. Always keep a battery of this type charged to at least 50%.
