How to Get BIS Certification in India?

Tatkal Scheme:

• The Tatkal Scheme is designed for manufacturers who urgently need BIS certification as mandated by government notifications.

• Applications under this scheme are processed within strict timelines, with a specified processing time of 30 days.

• Applications received under the Tatkal Scheme are given priority to meet the strict time norms.

ECO Mark Scheme:

• The ECO Mark Scheme is a specialized scheme for granting BIS licenses to eco-friendly products.

• Products seeking the ECO mark must conform to additional requirements specified in Indian Standards to qualify.

• The procedure for obtaining a license under the ECO Mark Scheme is similar to that of the Domestic Manufacturer's scheme.

Foreign Manufacturers Certification Scheme:

• Overseas applicants and foreign manufacturers can apply for a license to use the ISI mark under a separate scheme.

• The process for foreign manufacturers typically takes up to 6 months to complete.

Products that Require Mandatory BIS License or BIS Certificate
